Biography
Ryan Deitsch is a 24 year old Jewish American and a survivor of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, Florida. Deitsch is a co-founder of the gun violence prevention organization MARCH FOR OUR LIVES and advocates for public safety, youth empowerment and international human rights. Deitsch’s advocacy and work as a content creator has been recognized nationally and internationally by faith leaders, prestigious learning institutions and government officials among others. Ryan completed his undergraduate studies at American University in December 2022 with a B.A. in International Service specializing in Latin American Foreign Policy and Human Rights. Ryan currently resides in New York City, where he serves as a Public Advocate for CHANGE THE REF using creative expression to help change the culture around our nation’s gun violence epidemic.
